As part of the European Unions Commission ruling on Microsoft bundling Internet Explorer with Windows, Microsoft will start rolling out an update that will run on your PC and open a screen giving you the choice of choosing which browser you would like to use. There will be 12 options and the main five will be listed on the screen on random order (see image below). To be honest this is going to be confusing for many novice users, who will not know what to do or choose.
The software update choice will arrive automatically for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 customers, according to a blog post by Dave Heiner, Microsoft’s vice president and deputy general counsel.
